Joining a Consultancy: What Surprised Me Most

Moving into consultancy means learning how a team works as well as what its software does. The same technical suggestion can land very differently depending on the history behind the current approach.

Joining BJSS has made that context particularly interesting to me. I want to ask why before proposing replacements. There are usually constraints I haven't met yet, and the people already working with them can save me a lot of confident but unhelpful advice.
